Tarian Raya Connecting Channel Dredging Progress Touches 90 Percent

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency dredged Tarian Raya Connecting (Phb) Channel for Don Bosco Pump-Acordion Bridge Segment on Jalan Tarian Raya, Kelapa Gading Sub-district. The current progress has reached 90 percent.

Our target is to finish it by the end of this month

Tarian Raya Phb Channel Dredging Supervisor, Jaenal Abidin mentioned, dredging work on Tarian Raya Phb Channel was carried out about 2 kilometers long and width 4 meters.

"Dredging work has been started since June 19, 2021 until September 21 along 1.800 meters. Our target is to finish it by the end of this month," he conveyed, Wednesday (9/22).

His side deployed 1 long arm excavator to dredge channel that crosses Kelapa Gading Timur Urban Village and Pegangsaan Dua Urban Village.

"We also deploy 4-5 truck with capacity 5 cubic meters every day to transport mud sedimentation and garbage. On average, each unit is capable to transport up to three trips," he said.

He hopes normalizing the channel, can optimize water flow and increase channel's capacity.

"We want Tarian Raya Phb Channel to function optimally. Thus it can prevent inundation, especially during high rainfall," he stated.
